Geothermal web sites     Information on U. S. geothermal activity.       Fact sheet for ongoing U. S. Geological Survey (USGS) assessment of U. S. geothermal resources.  USGS open-file report on the methodology used to estimate resources for above study.  The web site of the Department of Energy Geothermal Technologies Program.   A report evaluating the MIT report on enhanced geothermal systems is on this site as well as general information concerning DOE’s geothermal program.  The MIT report on enhanced geothermal systems, “Future of Geothermal Energy,” is on this web site as well as maps of geothermal potential in the Western U. S.  USGS popular report on geothermal energy.  USGS 1978 assessment of U.
